A child from Landes

Hugo Prins is a pure product of the Landes. Born and raised among the pine trees and dunes of Hossegor, he started his career... literally behind the house , on the sandbanks of Les Gardians and Les Estagnots. Very quickly, he developed a passion for La Gravière , this legendary spot, both unpredictable and magical, which became his daily playground.

From his first foams to the long waves of the Landes, Hugo learned everything here, in this wild and demanding environment. This is what forged his wave reading, his sense of timing, and this fluid but powerful style that is starting to make waves well beyond 40.

He grew up surrounded by the same group of surfing buddies , with whom he still shares every session today. Together, they learned everything, experienced everything, and continue to push each other to go further.

A precocious talent in constant evolution

Hugo Prins quickly caught the attention of the European surfing scene. At the age of 9, he was already impressing with his ease on the waves of the Maldives, as evidenced by the video "Gromheaven". His journey then led him to train at the prestigious Gabriel Medina Institute in Brazil, alongside other young European talents.

An obvious partnership with T&C Surf Designs

Integrating Hugo into our surf team was a no-brainer. His love of surfing, his desire to progress and his authenticity make him a natural ambassador for the T&C spirit. We share with him the same passion for roots surfing , the kind that begins at dawn, barefoot in the sand, a board under your arm.

Alongside our shapers, Hugo thinks about boards that meet his needs and feelings.

A young ambassador to watch closely

Whether in free surfing or in competition, he embodies this youth who doesn't seek to impress, but to express himself. And when you see him in the water, you understand immediately: surfing, for him, is natural, instinctive, obvious.

Between sky and ocean: an atypical balance

What makes Hugo's career even more impressive is that he isn't limited to the waves. Alongside his surfing career, he pursued demanding training at an airline pilot school. A childhood dream as much as it is a reflection of his discipline and determination.
Between sessions at La Gravière and hours of flight in a simulator or in the air, Hugo embodies a new generation capable of living several passions to the fullest, without compromise.
It is this duality that makes it unique: anchored in the Landes sand, but always ready to take off.
