Never one to follow trends, surfer and shaper Dave Parmenter is a true original in the world of surfboard design.
In the '80s, when thrusters overtook the single fin, he yearned for the speed and drive that a single fin provided, yet loved the versatility of a thruster. This led to a re-thinking of Terry Fitzgerald's 'Drifta' model boards — Parmenter reworked the balance of 3 fins to form the basis of the Widowmaker setup.
It's in this reconfiguration that is Dave's genius.
